Environmental Awareness

Environment is the key concern for us, in production, in new product developments, in individual and corporate levels. While all the activities ensure that only environmentally compliant products are manufactured and the most stringent environmental safeguards are maintained during production, our commitment to respect to the environment goes far beyond these legislations.

• In 2010-2011, we have installed RTOs in   our plants to decrease our carbon emission.
• The polymer emulsions of Organik Kimya are considered as “Polymer” under REACH. Organik Kimya has finalized REACH preregistrations of all the raw and trading materials in 2009.
• In 2009, Organik Kimya became a member of  European Polymer Dispersion and Latex Association (EPDLA / CEFIC).
• In 2004 we made the full shift to APEO-free products and we are being regularly audited & monitored by DCMR (Rijnmond Directorate for Environment) and Labor Ministry in Rotterdam and the Turkish Chemicals & Manufacturers Association.
• Organik Kimya is a member of  Turkish Chemical Manufacturers Association (TCMA).
• Since 1990s, we assess and manage the risks associated to our processes by audits done by Insurance Companies. Possible Risks are evaluated regularly and eliminated or minimized with risk assessment.
• In 1993 Organik Kimya became a member of the Responsible Care program;

• We prefer to use natural gas which is the cleanest fuel to date.
• We are aware that reducing the use of Polyethylene (PE) adds up to sizable benefits for the environment. We decrease the amount of PE packages of both raw materials and also our products by transporting in tankers and keeping stock in tanks. In order to encourage our customers to purchase our products in bulk, we support constructing tanks in our customers’ plants.
