Energy Optimization

With the help of the energy consumption optimization projects being conducted by both of the plants of Organik Kimya, we aim to reach the highest efficiency level in energy usage thus minimizing the environmental impacts associated with the generation of the energy.

• We improved our efficiency in production in terms of scraps by 22% from 2005 to 2010. We target an additional 10% improvement in 2011.
• We decreased our natural gas consumption by 5,4% in 2010 in comparison to 2009. We target an additional 1,7% improvement in 2011.
• We decreased our water consumption by 10,9% in 2010 in comparison to 2009. We target an additional 3,3% improvement in 2011.
• We decreased the energy consumption of forklifts by 26% in 2010 after adjusting the GPS control.
• We decreased the energy consumption in lighting in the warehouses by shifting to photocell-lighting.
